Nick is  a dedicated and passionate Lawyer specialising in Queensland's bus industry, advising on contracts, tenders, and commercial transactions.

Nick is a Corporate Lawyer at McInnes Wilson Lawyers in Brisbane with a specialty knowledge of the passenger transport sector. In 2025 he was recognised as a Leading Corporate & Commercial Law Rising Star.

He has been involved in Queensland’s bus industry for over a decade and has applied his comprehensive understanding of this sector for clients in a professional law firm environment since 2018.

Nick advises bus operators, industry associations, and associated suppliers, on a range of matters including passenger transport service contracts with government, formulating government tender responses, facilitating the sale and purchase of transport businesses, and commercial property transactions.

Nick is very passionate about the not-for-profit sector and has dedicated a large part of his spare time for the past 11 years as the President of the Queensland Omnibus and Coach Society. Nick is also a Director of Brisbane Open House.  

Nick’s commitment to the bus industry has culminated in the establishment of the Brisbane Transport Museum which is Queensland’s first and only dedicated bus museum.

Nick advised the Thompson family in all aspects of the transaction including: conducting due diligence investigations on the business and real estate, facilitating the transfer of the government contracts, advising on tax and duty implications, and attending to successful completion of the purchase.
