Client Solutions

Financial Services Fraud
Fraud
Client problem

Matthew's client was exposed to a multi-million dollar fraud after a customer exploited a loophole concerning the client's investment switching practices, thereby benefiting from investments they were not entitled to.

outcome achieved

The loophole was quickly remedied, and, after liaising with the police, criminal charges were laid against the customer and recovery of the subject amount was sought as part of the criminal proceeding. Explanations provided to police concerning the technical investment processes, alongside the detailed documentary and witness evidence collated on behalf of the client, were crucial in relation to Matthew's prosecution of the customer and achieving the full recovery.

Private Client
litigation
Client problem

Matthew's client was involved in a claim by a customer concerning the professional services provided by the client.

outcome achieved

Upon consideration of the complex nature of the services provided to the customer and upon identifying the limited scope of the client's related retainer, early discussions were held with the customer's representatives, and the customer agreed to discontinue the claim.

Company Director

Client problem

Matthew's client was involved in a claim relating to an alleged conspiracy.
