Karen is an experienced insurance Principal who has defended claims on behalf of major insurers (NRMA, QBE, Allianz and Zurich) since 2003. She specialises in resolving all types of Compulsory Third Party claims arising out of motor vehicle accidents and is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law.

Karen has been published in the Law Society of NSW Journal. 

Karen regularly provides training seminars to insurance clients on areas such as indemnity, blameless accidents, contributory negligence, and Compensation to Relatives claims. She has also provided one-on-one training for clients employees with no claims experience, and become an informal mentor to new claims staff.

Acted for a CTP insurer in proceedings brought by a workers’ compensation insurer pursuant to s151Z of the Workers Compensation Act 1987.  Judgment for the defendant upheld in the Court of Appeal.  CTP insurer awarded costs.

Acted for a CTP insurer in commencing recovery proceedings against the hirer of its insured bus for breach of contract. CTP insurer claimed recovery from the hirer of the bus of the cost of 21 claims.
