Client problem

Jack's client, the insurer, was involved in a claim for damages after a worker allegedly fell from a tractor at a worksite and injured themselves.

outcome achieved

Through investigations with a number of the worker's colleagues and supervisors, revealing multiple inconsistencies in the mechanism of the injury, Jack called to question the worker's credibility. The matter proceeded through the pre-proceedings stage and settled on the eve of a three day trial for a modest sum.

Client problem

Jack's client, the insurer, was involved in a claim whereby the plaintiff alleged a lumbar spine injury as a result of a bicycle/motor vehicle accident.

outcome achieved

Jack led an extensive investigation into the circumstances of the accident, revealing a solid case for the defence of liability on the part of the client's insured - the driver of the motor vehicle. After locating, briefing and arranging several witnesses to give evidence at the trial, judgement was awarded in favour of Jack's client, with the plaintiff failing to establish liability.
