John is an expert in the field of commercial and financial law, estate law and occupation disciplinary law. His areas of practice include commercial law litigation, banking and finance law, administrative law, property law, estate planning and franchising.
John is a strategic negotiator and a qualified mediator. His clients include the Commonwealth Government, major banks as well as privately owned corporations and companies.

In recognition of John’s experience he has been appointed as a panel solicitor for the ACT Law Society advising in relation to professional disciplinary matters.

Work Undertaken

John acted for two senior public servants in the Royal Commission relating to the installation of insulation bats. He has also acted for a number of other senior public servants in employment/disciplinary matters. One such matter was concluded successfully in the Federal Court followed by a substantial ex gratia payment made pursuant to the Audit Act.
John was appointed as special investigator under the Workplace Enterprise Agreement by CSIRO inquiring into and reporting on workplace harassment issues.
