Tim's extensive experience involves advising local governments, marina clients and incorporated associations, agri-business transactions, negotiating and drafting Land Access Agreements, as well as commercial property leasing, acquisitions and reviewing.

Tim assisted his client in negotiating and entering into a collaboration arrangement with a private developer to facilitate the acquisition of land to establish a K -12 co-educational school. This involved addressing complex tax concerns, as well as meeting the requirements and timelines of multiple stakeholders.

Tim assisted his client by negotiating and finalising a settlement without litigation commencing. He was also responsible for ensuring that the settlement terms were carried out. This involved complex land tenure transactions, including transitioning the marina's seabed tenure from administration as a port asset, amendment of the relevant legislation, and transitioning to registered berth leases for the entire marina.

Complicated acquisition of a cropping and grazing enterprise in Queensland's Western Downs district. The transaction involved:

  • plant and equipment;
  • acquisition of water rights;
  • early cropping for the purchaser's benefit; 
  • rectification of flood damage; and
  • assignment of existing Land Access arrangements with multiple tenement holders.

Tim aided in all aspects of the transaction, including legal due diligence, contract drafting and negotiating, liaising with other stakeholders, and completing the purchase.
