David heads the McInnes Wilson Lawyers Public Liability Insurance team. For 20 years, he has specialised in defending occupier’s liability, construction, transport, and public risk matters for insurance clients. He has a particular focus on obligations of principal contractors in workplace incidents, labour-hire and the contractual and insurance issues arising from those industries, and utilising the ACL mechanisms to assist insurance clients in their subrogated recovery actions.
In 2016, David was judged a “Pre-eminent Public Liability Lawyer” by Doyle’s Guide and was listed in the 2021 edition of Best Lawyers in Australia for his work in Insurance Law.
