Hugh Powell, Solicitor has progressed to the QLD Final of the Ron Shorter Award, presented by AILA Australian Insurance Law Association.
Hugh wowed the judges speaking on the topic of ‘When Duties Conflict – Social Good v Employee Welfare’.
The Ron Shorter Memorial Award is a prestigious competition which was established in 2012 aimed to assist young insurance industry professionals in developing their public speaking skills. Participants benefit by raising their profile, speaking publicly on an insurance topic of their choice and meeting peers and luminaries from the insurance industry.
A special mention to Jack Marshall, Solicitor and Mikaela Dooley, Law Graduate who were also worthy participants in Tuesday night’s first round of judging.
State finalists will battle it out on the 9th of August at the office of Colin Biggers & Paisley, Waterfront Place.
