Creating a simple, user friendly performance management framework including identifying KPIs, measurement, and design of short and long term incentives to drive positive change: a case study

Richard Dunks, Executive Consultant, of Optimum Consulting, with over 20 years’ experience in HR Consulting and Recruitment, will present a case study on a client situation where he assisted in advising on and implemented a simple, user friendly performance management framework including identifying KPIs, measurement, and design of short and long term incentives to drive positive change.

5:40pm

Review of common structuring options for incentive schemes: tax and regulatory aspects

Not all incentive schemes have the same tax or regulatory issues. Chris Davis, Principal of McInnes Wilson Lawyers, will go through a sample of the structuring options available to incentivise employees and outline the tax and regulatory (Corporations Act, other specific legislation) that affects each incentive.

6:00pm

Management of legal risk for short term and long term incentive schemes: what can go wrong and why it is important to correctly record the scheme from the start.

Too often employers will agree to bonus or incentive structures which are right for the business now, without fully considering how those plans will operate or apply as their business changes or staff leave. James Christensen, Senior Associate with McInnes Wilson Lawyers, will walk you through the potential traps and pitfalls for employers who fail to correctly consider and record all aspects of a proposed bonus or incentive structure
