McInnes Wilson Lawyers have advised the owners of Lonestar Coachlines on the sale of their Queensland passenger transport business to Belbaker Bus Charter.

About Lonestar Coachlines

Lonestar Coachlines is a leading passenger transport provider with the newest and most luxurious fleet of coaches on the Gold Coast of Queensland.

Established during 2002 by Les Bultitude, Lonestar Coachlines has grown to possess a large fleet of vehicles following the acquisition of several long established school transport and charter operators.

Key contracted clients of the business include the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, NSW Trains, and prestigious Gold Coast schools: Emmanuel College, St Hilda’s School and The Southport School.

The sale of Lonestar Coachlines completed on Friday, 21 June 2024 with a total of 21 coaches being sold to Brisbane-based Belbaker Bus Charter.

The McInnes Wilson team comprised of Chris Davis, Nick Wilson and Morgan Gallagher advised Lonestar on all aspects of the transaction including: negotiating and drafting the transaction documents, facilitating the transfer of key contracts, advising on tax and duty implications, and attending to successful completion.

Les Bultitude, Managing Director of Lonestar Coachlines, said:

“When the opportunity presented itself for the sale of our business, we engaged Nick Wilson because of his unrivaled understanding of the Queensland bus industry.

Nick expertly guided us through every step of the process, and I appreciated his responsiveness no matter the time of day or night.”

Commenting on the transaction, Nick Wilson at McInnes Wilson Lawyers, stated:

It was an absolute privilege to act for Les Bultitude and the Lonestar team on this transaction and I congratulate Adam Baker on this significant acquisition.
