Sama is dedicated to her clients, enthusiastic about her work, and conscientious in all her decision-making. 

Sama is an Associate in the firm's Insurance team, specialising in government litigation and workplace relations. With over eight year's of experience in the legal industry, she has extensive knowledge in advising and representing Commonwealth agencies and the ACT Government in workers' compensation claims, industrial relations disputes and discrimination claims. She regularly appears before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, the Fair Work Commission and the Australian Human Rights Commission.

Sama has undertaken secondments in large Commonwealth Agencies, giving her practical experience operating in the frameworks she advises her clients on. She develops an understanding of her clients' ultimate strategic focus and needs. She provides practical advice considering legal implications and risk, human resource issues, and the implementation realities her clients' face. She also regularly provides training to public and private sector clients in respect of employment law, workers' compensation, and claims management strategies, as well as the obligations Commonwealth employers have in exercising their functions and in ligation.

Sama’s work in acting for government bodies regularly sees her appearing before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, Fair Work Commission, Human Rights Commission and Federal Court of Australia. She provides advice and conducts dispute resolution for various claims, including dismissals, general protections, discrimination and workers’ compensation. Her expertise in her services for her clients enables her to achieve results with integrity and respect across all divisions of administrative and employment law litigation.

Sama has also contributed to the broader legal community by sitting on the ACT Law Society for three years as a Councillor and also as Treasurer for two years, requiring her to review, amongst other things, misconduct matters and decide on disciplinary measures.
